Every Monday a new practice video will be available. Live classes will be held on Fridays at 10 AM for the elementary class and 11 am for the jr/high classes. If you are not able to attend the live classes, they will be recorded for viewing later and for rewatching to practice your new material.
Why should you learn sign language?
A recent estimate claims that around 13 million people have some level of proficiency in sign language. That makes American Sign Language the third most commonly used language in the US!
Learning to sign opens doors to new friendships its also an great way to fufill foreign language requirements for school!
Practice makes perfect!
Using closed facebook groups students in the same class will have the ability to practice with eachother and with teachers. Teaching family members what you learned during the week is also a great way to practice your new language skills.
What will we learn?
Beginning lessons will include finger spelling, counting, colors, foods, animals and basic conversational words.
Higher levels will focuse on ASL sentence structure, classifiers, culture, and more.
